I'm Akshay. I like building things on the computer, mostly tools for whatever I'm into at the time.

So far that's been a video tracker for physics labs and an app for backpacking where there's no signal. This site is the third: it started as a flat desk covered in sticky notes, turned into a 3D desk you can look around, and now it's this.

Away from the computer I spot planes with my Nikon D3100; a few of them are under Photos. The real desk is L-shaped, with two monitors, a record player and a coffee next to the keyboard.

LabTrack

Film a physics experiment, click the object, and it tracks the motion frame by frame, fits a model and compares the result with theory. Measures g, β = I/mr² and α, all in the browser.
